Britney Spears Avoids Criminal Charges

Fresh from a weekend in Las Vegas, Britney Spears was spotted back in Los Angeles, California last night for a low-key dinner at Sur restaurant.

The “Gimme More” songstress traveled with a small entourage and looked cute in a sleeveless v-neck black minidress with a pair of massive platform high heels and an oversized black handbag.

And there’s good news for the hoping-to-make-a-comeback singer regarding the allegations made by a paparazzo that she allegedly ran over his foot.

Officials declared yesterday that they will not in fact file charges against her because the only way the paparazzo’s foot could have been where the video showed it to be was if he himself had put it there.

Deputy district attorney Joseph Shidler told press, “We have no evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the suspect was aware that the victim’s foot had been struck by the car. There was much commotion and noise at the time and there is no proof that the suspect was aware of what had happened.”

He concluded, “The only way the victim’s foot could have been where the video indicates it to be was by the victim placing it in that location.”

CSI New York Season 4

Did you guys catch the premiere of CSI: New York season 4 last week on AXN (channel 701 Astro Malaysia)??? If you missed it, you better check it back 'coz it was so awesome!

The first episode, tittled 'Can You Hear Me Now?', brings the CSI team (and us) to the unsolved case of a young concert pianist, Marie Casimira. I'm not sure if there was an episode on this case before 'coz I missed quite a lot of episodes from the previous seasons. But it didn't matter, you won't get confuse since this episode can be considered a stand-alone episode.

The murders were quite gruesome but that's what makes CSI:NY so interesting. I didn't sound like a lunatic killer right? Anyway, it was also revealed that Mac has been harassed by mysterious phone calls that happens precisely at 3:33 a.m. Creepy!

The 2nd episode airs tonight at 9 p.m. So don't forget to get your lab kits and watch CSI:NY tonight okay. It's going to be great!

Lindsay Lohan’s Leggy Shoe Shopping Excursion

Back to work early Monday morning (June 16), Lindsay Lohan was spotted taking a break on the Los Angeles set of her new movie “Labor Pains”.

After working on a few more scenes and grabbing a bite to eat for lunch on-set, LiLo took advantage of another break in the action - this time venturing off for a little shoe shopping, swapping back and forth between a pair of knee high boots and high heels while showing off her long legs in a pair of-short-shorts.

In related news, Miss Lohan recently chose not to enter the Emmy race for her role in “Ugly Betty” - steering clear of a competitive field for best guest actress in a comedy series that includes Britney Spears ("How I Met Your Mother") and Mary-Kate Olsen ("Weeds").

Fan-Accessible Amy Winehouse

Most celebrities have massive amounts of security between themselves and the rest of the world. But Amy Winehouse has only her front door.

And in the latest chapter of “A Fan Shows Up On Amy Winehouse’s Doorstep,” a young Canadian girl made the trek to the “Rehab” singer’s Camden London home to meet her idol.

Overcome by the excitement and emotion of the moment, the girl broke down in tears, profusely thanking the “I’m No Good” songstress for taking the time to meet her.

On the other end of the spectrum, Winehouse’s recent $2 million gig in Russia was almost cancelled after she showed up blitzed out of her mind. Daria Zhukova, the girlfriend of Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich, invited Amy to sing at an exclusive engagement at The Garage gallery in Moscow for a select group of art enthusiasts.

However when the troubled singer arrived for her one-hour performance she was in such an incoherent state, they discussed finding a last-minute replacement for her.

In the eleventh hour, Amy’s people were able to pull her together enough for her to take the stage. An insider told press, “I heard that her singing was a little sloppy. But she still put on a terrific show.”

Britney Spears Cools Off in Sin City

She’s been working overtime on getting in shape and reclaiming her public sanity, so it only makes sense that Britney Spears would treat herself to a relaxing weekend in Las Vegas.

The “Piece of Me” songstress was spotted cooling off at the pool outside of her hotel, looking playful in a pink and orange psychedelic-patterned bikini.

According to sources, Brit is in Sin City to treat her father Jamie Spears to an extended Fathers’ Day weekend, having flown into town yesterday after visiting with her kids at her home in Studio City, California.

After all, Jamie has been the solid rock foundation that the “Gimme More” singer has been relying on as of late. He’s taken over her financial and personal affairs, giving Britney the ability to focus on getting herself healthy again. If not for Jamie, we may still be seeing the likes of Adnan Ghalib… or worse- Sam Lutfi!

Beyonce and Jay-Z: Out to Lunch

They’ve been flying below the gossip radar as of late, but yesterday Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z were spotted grabbing a bite to eat for lunch.

The “99 Problems” rapper and his “Bootylicious” wife headed over to one of their top NYC West Village spots, Bar Pitti for some quality time and quality eats.

And the “Irreplaceable” hottie recently hit Forbes’ top 5 Celebrity list, coming in at #4. It seems she’s been scoring big points with ticket sales and merchandising.

Forbes wrote, “After ditching Destiny’s Child to go solo in 2003, the Houston native has released two platinum albums and built a wildly successful entertainment empire that includes fashion, film and publishing deals. She sold $50 million in tickets on a recent tour. Her endorsement contracts, with L’Oréal, American Express and others, bring in $10 million annually.”
