Justin Bieber

Justin Bieber has a new album in the works!

Justin Bieber in the recording studio, looking as adorable as ever.
For a while there, he had us getting all pretty with him promoting perfume and nail polish. Don’t get me wrong, as a girl who LOVES trying new beauty products I would have checked ‘em out anyways, but the fact that both had some proceeds going towards a charitable cause made our hearts melt just that much more. (In case you missed it, read our articles about the “One Less Lonely Girl” nail polish collection, as well his signature perfume for ladies, “Someday“. But if you haven’t noticed, Justin works quite hard, and people notice. Beautiful and talented pop and R&B superstar, Rihanna,  said in an interview with Glamour magazine that Justin “is a kid [to me], but works like an adult”.
Despite the fact that he arrived back from his world tour,My World, 2.0 not long ago, and has been to a few awards shows, helped as an announcer at one many of his friends were nominated for awards in, went public with his love for Selena Gomez and has been spending a lot of time with her, as well as attending promotional events for his aforementioned new products, he is still finding the time to plant the seeds for his new album. That’s right, Justin Bieber is working on a new album!
This is news to us all, so not a whole lot is known about the new album, or what to expect from it, although Justin did mention a few things regarding it. In an interview with MTV, Justin said (regarding his new album) ”I want to write a lot myself. I will be working with a lot of other producers and stuff like that, but I’m just writing a lot, writing on tour.” He later added ,”I’ve done a lot on my acoustic guitar, so it’s gonna have that vibe. I’m not gonna really limit myself… I know there’s country music, there’s rock music, but my music is different. My voice is not meant for any style. I just want to make music.” From those quotes, it’s kinda hard to predict what exactly this album will be like. It seems like he is saying that although he predominately known for his pop music, he has respect for all genres and may find his own Justin Bieber-ey way to integrate the other styles of music into this album. He also mentioned that he’d “done a lot on my acoustic guitar, so its gonna have that vibe”, and he did release “My Worlds Acoustic” in November of 2010, so we can probably expect a track or two unplugged. Justin saying he was “not gonna really limit myself” leads me to believe he is going to try a few new things.
And now that Justin is a little bit more experienced in the industry, he probably trusts himself a lot more to make some of the big choices about album and single releases, tours, merchandise, etc. that may seemed a bit overwhelming and intimidating to anyone who is new in the music industry, especially somebody so internationally popular, loved and adored.
Although Justin has openly admitted that he is working on a new album, don’t hold your breath, or expect to see it hit store shelves soon. A lot more goes into producing an album that you’d expect. Yes, songs have to be written, practiced and perfected, and recorded, usually around 12 tracks per album. But there also has to be communication with the record company the client (Justin Bieber) is under contract with to make sure that the record company, Justin Bieber, and his ‘entourage’ are all on the same page with things like number of records, album art, release date, the insert (the little “book” or pamplet you can read when you pull out the album cover) and what it says, who is given thanks and appreciation, the order of the tracks, a prediction of how many of the tracks will be hit singles…how many of them will make it into the pop top 40 and the pop top 10, and for how many weeks. A budget needs to be created, as well as what they expect the album to make, to prevent them from losing money by producing and realeasing the album (I really doubt that will be much of a problem with Justin Bieber’s new album…)
News of a new album is exciting to any Bieber fan, but because there is not yet any release date set, or even an estimate, fans are going to grow more anxious for its realease every week! In the mean time, enjoy the music he already has out, check out some DVDs, watch his feature film,” Justin Bieber: Never Say Never” (Again…Lol), keep up with all the latest Bieber news through the T.V., magazines (He has had several interviews, even did a fashion spread alongside a model in fashion magazine!), fan websites and blogs, word of mouth.
